Thoughts on Noel

March 15, 2019

Noel runs today (15th March) in the 7.00 at Chelmsford. Fergus Sweeney rides the gelding in the 7 furlong Novice Stakes. Noel will have learned a bit at this track on his debut a few weeks ago over a mile. He is very much a horse that will need handicap races to be competitive another run tonight brings him a step closer to qualifying.

Jack Berry House was a first time out winner but has to concede weight all around notably to Lestrade who showed a reasonable level of form on debut when finishing just behind Assimilation who has twice been beaten by narrow margins and sets the standard here. Anything else would have to take a fairly significant step forward to get competitive.

Noel will be led up by James Pulley and supervised by Travelling Manager Shaun Johnson his regular work rider at home is Jenny Hughes.
