Thoughts on Fronsac at Kempton ParkMarch 4, 2020
Fronsac runs in the 5.45pm at Kempton Park Racecourse this evening (Wednesday 4th March). Adam McNamara is in the saddle for the twelve furlong handicap. The gelding is stepping up in distance, to what is probably the upper limit of his stamina range.
Songo, who won well at Kempton last week in a similar conteston his first start in Britain looks the horse to beat. Crimson King could well appreciate the slight ease in grade and has some good course form over shorter. Recent course and distance winner Double Legend probably needs to find a bit more again to win but should be in the mix for the minor honours.
Fronsac was bred and is owned by Gary and Lesley Middlebrook. He will be led up by Yard Manager Lauren Webb, who rides him out everyday at home and has done an excellent job developing his confidence.
