Spin Again wins again and heads for pastures new…

Spin Again signed off his career with us in fine style, winning at Lingfield by three and a half lengths under a great ride from Mickael Barzalona who was notching up the second leg of a great treble in consecutive races, the final leg for our neighbour George Baker so it was a good afternoon for advertising the wonders that Whitsbury can work on a horse too. You can view the race here. In all Spin Again ran for us seven times and won three and was placed twice more, earning over £5,500 in just over two months. He was claimed for £5,000, not bad for a horse that when he arrived was unsellable and came with a brief to be moved on so his owner could retire! A real credit to all our team he was always beautifully turned out and Vicki Brooks deservedly won best turned out yesterday afternoon as well. He joins John Ryan and we wish him and his team the best of luck with him, he will still be competitive as long as the handicapper isn’t too hard on his rating following yesterday’s success.

Its sad to see his empty stable this morning, but forwards is the way to go and we’re working hard on getting the next horse into the winner’s enclosure. Below are a couple of pictures of Autocracy‘s exercise this morning which consisted of a gentle canter before doing some flat work to strengthen his back, he should be running in a couple of weeks if all goes to plan. The third picture is Whitechapel.
