Thoughts on Arishka
Arishka runs in the 1.45 at Catterick this afternoon. The two year old filly will be ridden by James Sullivan in the five furlong novice race. The filly made an encouraging debut when beaten just over three lengths at Windsor after fluffing the start. She should put that experience to good use here. James has a good record around the track which is a bonus, as is the good draw that Arishka enjoys. She should get the quicker ground that we have been looking for in recent weeks after missing a couple of engagements on softer going.
Those that have run haven’t shown a great deal of form, Primeiro Boy perhaps has the most to offer on this front, although any one of them could take a big step forward. Despite the track not being the most straightforward for a horse getting its first experience of racing, the main dangers seem more likely to come from amongst the debutants with Raypeatafterme probably having the best pedigree for the job. Chapelli seems likely to want further but is another that catches the eye with a bit of quality in her pedigree.
