Thoughts on Zulu Girl

Zulu Girl runs this evening in the 6.15 at Sandown Park in search of a hat trick. Nicola Currie partners the filly as she has done for 2 of her 3 wins this season. The excellent prize money on offer has drawn a big field for the nine furlong fillies’ handicap. Zulu Girl steps up in distance today after three wins over a mile but she has hit the line strongly and we have been keen to explore options over further at some point. So far Zulu Girl’s good form since joining the yard has been on good or faster ground, so hopefully their is not much further rain. The wide draw presents a challenge.

Strawberri & Sky Bright are also bidding for a hat trick today. Strawberri is lightly raced and open to improvement, Sky Bright steps down in distance but up in class. Yorkshire Lady looks to go one better after just missing out on her latest start. One Small Step is another who has proved capable in this class.

Zulu Girl is by Lethal Force, out of the Diktat mare, Upskittled. She is owned by Trish and Colin Fletcher-Hall. She will be led up by Ilse Belien, and overseen by travelling manager Shaun Johnson.
