Thoughts on Chica Rapida at Wolverhampton this evening

October 3, 2015

Chica Rapida heads to Wolverhampton for the 8.00 this evening (Saturday 3rd of October). Steve Drowne rides in the seven furlong fillies maiden. A filly we have always liked Chica Rapida was very green on debut. She should be a lot more professional tonight as she started to get the idea of things at the end of the race. She is however disadvantaged by a wide draw at what is a difficult start for an inexperienced horse as they run straight into a bend.

Fine View sets a decent level and as been consistent, filling the runners up spot in her last four starts. Real Smart was a heavy favourite on her most recent start and finished third, one place in front of Chica Rapida. She may however be better suited to the all weather being by a primarily American dirt bred sire. Her dam was a smart horse and her grand dam a Group One winner and she has presumably shown quite a bit of ability at home.
