Thoughts on Today’s Runners

Passing Star, Chepstow 12:45 – Rob Hornby

Passing Star goes in the seven furlong handicap although he hasn’t ever won on turf he goes well enough on it that you have to think that will change at some point. He probably hit the front a little too soon last time out over a mile and seven is probably his best trip so plenty in his favour today.

A case can be made for a few of these, Air of York, Wahab & Bounty Pursuit are all well proven in races of this nature and Chatoyer looked like he would enjoy the step up to seven furlongs.

Changing, Ripon 2:10 – Tom Marquand

Changing runs over six furlong in this seller and will find it a lot easier than the novice race she ran in last time out. Clearly she’s no star but she took a big step forward and can hopefully get competitive in this lower grade. She’s a game filly which counts at this level.

Flo’s Melody sets the standard although at their best Felisa and Jean Paget would give her a run for her money
