Autocracy at Yarmouth

If it doesn’t rain too much in the next 24 hours or so Autocracy will headed towards the 3.40 at Yarmouth (5th July) Tom Queally will be in the saddle for this five furlong sprint. Autocracy is in good heart and worked nicely on Saturday and he should have a good chance.  Amongst his main rivals will be Ooi Long who won his last start and drops to this shorter distance for the first time. Irish Girls Spirit is the big danger, she showed much better form on his most recent start (only the fourth of her career) when trying faster ground and five furlongs for the first time. That was only on Sunday and she will have done a fair amount of traveling in between. The old boy Canadian Danehill is still capable of winning this sort of race but seems much happier running on the all weather and returns after a short break.

Autocracy breezing a half mile in 48 seconds on Saturday.
