Thoughts on Bailiwick at Wolverhampton this evening
Bailiwick runs in the 6.15 at Wolverhampton this evening (Saturday 31st of October). Joe Fanning is on board in the seven furlong handicap. Bailiwick ran well for a long way on his return to action at Kempton last time out, he paid for sitting up close to a fierce pace and tired late on. That was only his third start of his career and he should have gained plenty from the experience too. He drops back to seven furlongs from a mile which may help, he won a six furlong maiden at Wolverhampton last year and has a decent draw in stall one.
The race is a tight little contest and a case could be made for a quite a few on their best form. Indian Affair has the credentials to go well in the race and Lucky Di certainly has the ability but there is a slight question as to whether this trip just stretches her stamina. Birkdale Boy is another who has a liking for the all weather and may be seen to better effect than recently.
