Thoughts on Harry’s Endeavour at Brighton 2.20
Harry’s Endeavour runs in the 2.20 at Brighton this afternoon (Monday 12th of September). George Wood rides in the mile and a quarter selling handicap for apprentice riders. The consistent gelding has picked up cheques all summer long and this is the easiest grade he has run in since winning back in April. It is also the shortest trip he has run over since going handicapping, as long as there is a good pace to the race this should not be a problem (not usually an issue in an apprentice race).
Most of the field look pretty exposed and the the only one who has shown signs of progression is Ramblow who ran a well handicapped horse close last time out when stepped up in trip. Maverik is an old stager who might have race like this in him, having always run at a better level than this. He might also be assisted by the first time visor.
