Thoughts on Harry’s Endeavour at Kempton
Harry’s Endeavour has his first run for the yard this evening in the 7.15 at Kempton. Cathy Gannon rides the three year old handicap. Harry’s Endeavour improved with each start when with his previous trainer and has been with us for a couple of months. He is a tall horse and has put on condition and filled out during his time with us, he looks the type to improve physically as the the summer goes on. We are still learning about him and his work at home and the dams side of the pedigree suggests that this step up in distance will in his favour. The trip is quite a long way for any three year old at this stage of their career.
In a race filled with lightly raced types stepping up in distance, quite a few after a break and being gelded it is very difficult to know exactly how things will pan out. Frivolous Prince has more from in the book than the rest and is the one the improvers will have to beat.
