Thoughts on Lalinde at Wolverhampton tomorrow evening
Lalinde returns to Wolverhampton tomorrow evening (23rd November) for the 9.20pm. Kieran O’Neill takes the ride in the mile and a half handicap. Its Keiran’s first ride for us. Lalinde is a raw filly who was far too keen in her early races to do herself justice, the fitting of a hood has certainly helped. We deliberately dropped her back in trip last time out so that she could travel in the race better and she settled much better before getting outpaced. She seems to have learnt not to panic and should run a proper race tomorrow evening. The trip is more in line with what she is bred for and it would be nice to see her offer a bit more, otherwise it is hard to know where to go with her in the future.
A lot of the field is fairly exposed and the race looks to centre around the three or four runners with recent form. Men Don’t Cry is a good consistent type at this level. Captain Caroline is less exposed than most and has won or placed since stepping up to this trip. A case could be made for High On A Hill who put in a good effort on his most recent start but that was over quite a bit further. Tracks of my Tears has come to life since stepping up in trip and despite being drawn on the wide outside will be a serious contender.
