Thoughts on L’enclume

L’enclume makes her second start today (Wednesday 8th of December) in the 6.00 at Kempton. Nicola Currie rides in the mile fillies novice. The 3 year old filly made a bold front running start to her career over course and distance from a wide draw on debut before fading late on. The experience should stand in good stead and hopefully she comes forward for that run.

In third that day was Sea Speedwell who looked like she would improve quite a bit for that race and probably sets the standard here, fourth and fifth were Opticality and Teardrop Rock, the latter of whom looked particularly inexperienced. Rabat has been consistent but one would think a less exposed type would be capable of more from amongst this field. Bonica nad Queen’s Fair both have nice pedigrees and could play a hand.

L’enclume races for Gary & Lesley Middlebrook who also bred the filly. She will be led up today by James Pulley who cares for her at home.
