Thoughts on Lil Guff
Lil Guff has her first run of the year in the 3.50pm at Lingfield on Thursday 4th April. Richard Kingscote takes the ride in the 5 furlong handicap, this combination have been first past the post twice and never been out of the top 4 placings.
Lil Guff normally improves for her first run of the year and has flourished over stiffer five furlong tracks. However, she has looked to show a bit more pace in her work this year so if she can overcome her wide draw she can get competitive.
A very competitive race Star of Lady M is well drawn and goes well at the track . Moulin Booj did it well last time but this is a more competitive race. Lihou has the best historical but hasn’t been quite at his best recently. Grace Angel beat Lil Guff last summer but hasn’t progressed since then. Isle of Lismore is another with some good form and can be involved if ready to go after a fairly lengthy break
Lil Guff runs in the colours of owner Wayne Clifford and was bred by Sarah Clifford at their Byerley Stud. She will be led up by Epona Miller who rides and cares for her daily at home.
