Thoughts on Multi Fours at Wolverhampton tomorrow night
Multi Fours runs in the 8.20 at Wolverhampton tomorrow night (9th of February). Luke Morris will be riding her in the mile and a quarter seller. The filly was disappointing on her last run and despite extensive veterinary checks nothing was found to be amiss. We can only put it down to the fact she didn’t like the standard to slow surface that night Kempton. We are hoping that a return to Wolverhampton where she showed a modicum of ability on her third start will bring about the best in her. We have done some work with stalls experts Gary and Craig Witherford to encourage her to break faster from the gates as she has shown a tendency to be slowly away. We will also put her in cheek pieces for the first time – these should help to focus on her job. She worked better in these than she did in blinkers which she didn’t take too at all.
The race has only five runners and the horse that stands out on ratings is Good Evans who has made just three starts and although probably disappointing on his most recent start when favourite, his prior second in a maiden would be far better than any of the others have mustered recently. He’ll be tough to beat but it never pays to be afraid of one horse, especially in this grade of race.
