Thoughts on Outrage at Newcastle
Outrage returns to Newcastle for the 3:50 this afternoon (Friday 16th of December). George Downing takes over in the saddle for the five furlong handicap. George is in good form at the track having scored a double last Friday and another winner on Saturday and claims three pounds. Outrage has never been far away on his all weather starts and this is the lowest grade he has tackled and he should find life easier. He is drawn well and our main concern would be that there is a lack of pace. He wears blinkers as since being bumped badly at Chelmsford he has been a bit intimidated by other horses.
The race is competitive with recent winners Royal Mezyan and Landing Night probably setting the standard. Invincible Ridge is a decent horse on his day and is a danger amongst the bigger priced horses.
