Thoughts on Sherman McCoy today at Lingfield
Sherman McCoy has his first run for us today at Lingfield (12th December). William Twiston Davies will be riding him in the mile and a half handicap. It is the horses first start for us. He should be pretty fit and seems well in himself. The main concerns are that he is drawn very wide in stall 12 and that he may want a slightly longer race. Having said this he has won over a mile and half and shown good form at this distance. He looks to be on a mark he can be competitive from.
The main threats in the race look to be last time out winners Stand Guard and Focal Maith. There looks to be a lack of pace in the race and its just possible Sherman McCoy may end up making the running despite his unhelpful draw.
