Thoughts on Sonnentanz at Chelmsford

Sonnentanz runs in the 9.20 at Chelmsford this evening (Thursday 13th October) with Steve Drowne doing the steering. Sonnentanz ran a pleasing race last time out when being outpaced early doors to then stay on to finish a lot closer than first impressions made out. This will be her third start and she still has a lot to learn on the racecourse but she is progressing at home within herself and her work and is strengthening up every day. She looks a horse sure to win her races, however this is a tough ask.

The race should go one of two ways with Barjeel who started off his career well when just being touched off in a race of a similar standard at Newcastle and Wealth Tax that ran a good race last time at this track, both open to further improvement. The 75 rated Rockley Point sets the standard rating wise but could have a little too much on his hands with these possible improving horses. The race looks set to have a strong pace throughout with Jazz Cat and Rivers Of Asia showing form when racing from the front or on the pace.
