Thought’s on today’s runners

Andaleep runs in the 4.10 at Beverley today (Wednesday 10th August). Forest Demon goes in the 5.05 at Kempton.

Andaleep

Andaleep turns out quickly in this ten furlong handicap following his bloodless victory in an Amateur race on Sunday. Ben Curtis is in the saddle. That was his second win from five runs since joining us, his other efforts being two seconds and a third. He has to shoulder plenty of weight under the penalty in relation to his rivals, but still less than when winning on Sunday! Hopefully he has recovered sufficiently to put give his best again today.

Andaleep coming home comfortably at Windsor on Sunday

A small field with a couple of non-runners. Zumurud looks to be the most obvious danger, he has been running well of late but does need to prove he can stay this distance. However, Bavardages could be a threat, he had been in cracking form earlier in the summer. His last two starts haven’t matched that but were he to bounce back he is feared.

Andaleep runs in the colours of owner James Finch and will be led up by Shannon Pasotti who cares for him at home.

Forest Demon

Forest Demon makes his debut in nursery company. He has run respectably in some high quality maiden and novice races and should be able to be more competitive at this level. He sticks to seven furlongs for the moment and should continue to improve when running over further later this year and next season.

Forest Demon

Manwhothinkshecan sets the standard on the basis of a 3 place effort in a Catterick nursery over seven furlongs. However Uffington probably achieved a similar level of form when second over six furlongs at Newbury and has scope to improve over this longer trip. Unagi and Pending Appeal will be more competitive switched to nurseries in what could be an interesting race.

Forest Demon runs for syndicate owners Capture The Moment IX. He will be led up by James Pulley who cares for him daily at home.
