Thoughts on Trimoulet at Kempton this evening
Trimoulet heads to Kempton this evening (Wednesday 18th of November) for the 7.55. Tom Queally once again pairs up with the gelding in the mile and a half handicap. This is his first time at the track but Tom has always felt it would suit him better than Wolverhampton, where he has won twice over this trip. An experiment over longer trips didn’t really work out and he struggled to get into a nice position last time out from a terrible draw, so Trimoulet comes here on a bit of a recovery mission in a race that has a very open look to it.
The lightly raced favourite has a bit to prove still in handicap company, although the ground may give him a valid excuse for a disappointing show last time out. Serena Gray looked very progressive last season but hasn’t looked as effective in her two starts this year, that said they were in hotter company than this and she warrants respect. Syncopate is in good form but this is tougher than the races he has been winning.
