Thoughts on two debutants at Kempton tomorrow
Two runners at Kempton tomorrow afternoon (Monday 1st of August) both of them making their first trip to the races. In the 3.00 Luke Morris is riding Bubble Bath in the six furlong two year old maiden. An attractive filly with a likeable attitude she has taken everything in her stride. She will get further than the six in time but this looked a good place to start her career.
The newcomers look more interesting than most of those that have run, with Kath’s Boy and Epsom Secret’s placed efforts in ordinary races setting a standard that isn’t insurmountable.
Our second runner is Unforeseen, she goes in the seven furlong maiden at 3.30 with Steve Drowne riding. A well bred filly she has a lovely shape to her but has taken a while to get the hang of things in her homework and one would expect it to be similar when it comes to the races. However she should get there in the end.
The race looks to be between Sehayli and Poyle Emily the first of whom is probably flattered by his handicap mark and it would be no surprise were the latter to show more following a promising enough debut.
