Thoughts on Two Smart at Kempton tomorrow

Two Smart makes a quick turn around appearance in her quest to break her maiden in the 4.20 at Kempton tomorrow afternoon (December 3rd). Luke Morris bids to improve from his third and second placings in the fillies first two outings for the yard in the 6 furlong maiden. Two Smart will wear blinkers for the first time as Luke felt that on her penultimate start when he asked her to quicken past the eventual winner she held fire and seemed to prefer to follow. The draw has been a bit unkind as Two Smart is in drawn stall 8 of 9 and her main rival is down on the inside in stall two. However she normally breaks well and should be able to get away from the gates to find a good racing position and not end up posted too wide around the bend.

On paper the main rival to Two Smart’s ambitions the Queen’s horse Silver Mirage who much like Two Smart has had a few attempts to win races without getting her head in front. Of the rest of the field the newcomer Plain Striking is the only horse who ought to be threatening the pair on all known form.
