Thoughts on Who’sthedaddy today at Salisbury

Who’sthedaddy makes his racecourse debut in the 6.55 at Salisbury this evening (July 12th). Thomas Brown takes the ride in the seven furlong maiden. Who’sthedaddy is a well put together colt who has a lovely action. He still has quite a bit of strengthening up to do and today is really about getting experience for him. Initially quite a nervous horse he has grown in confidence and has a laid back attitude to life. He has done some nice work but has a tendency to be lazy and only do what he has to do, one hopes that he will wake up on the racecourse.

The race is difficult to gauge as there is very little solid form on offer. Harlequin Striker and Miseterioso finished second and third respectively in a course and distance maiden and should both feature again. That was Misterioso’s debut and one therefore expects him to improve to a greater degree. Golden Wedding ran well on debut to finish third and should progress as he now races over a furlong further which ought to be in his favour looking at his pedigree.
