Thoughts on Zulu Girl

Zulu Girl gets her season underway to at Doncaster in the 6.05 this evening (Saturday 23rd of April). The filly lines up in the mile handicap under Nicola Currie. The filly improved 20lbs last season and drops back to a mile after trying a bit further towards the end of season.

The small field could mean a tactical affair, Spirit of the Bay was progressive last season and ran a solid race on her reappearance on the all weather, there is only question about is whether she is able to show her best form on faster ground. Khatwah has been taking on some tough assignments on the all weather of late and this easier but step up in distance isn’t an obvious advantage.

Zulu Girl runs for owners Trish & Colin Fletcher-Hall and will be led up by Ilse Belien who cares for her daily at home.
