Thoughts on Jabula

Jabula makes her debut for Sarsen Farm this evening (Saturday 27th February) at 7.30 at Chelmsford. Lightweight jockey James Sullivan is in the irons for the one mile Median Auction Maiden Stakes. She will learn plenty from this experience and will likely want a bit further as the season develops.

Discomatic has the most experience and sets the standard after placing second in four of six starts. Epic Express ran well first time out, and should improve from that experience, which could be enough to challenge Discomatic. Desert Marathon isn’t far behind Discomatic in terms of form, having not been beaten far on her last three starts and is another who can be competitive here.

Jabula is by Fast Company, out of the Aptitude mare, Jubilant Lady who has bred several winners including the smart Italian Stakes Performers Flower Party and Birthday Party. She was bred by and races for Gary and Lesley Middlebrook. Tonight Jabula will be led up by Lauren Webb, and overseen by travelling manager, Shaun Johnson.
