Thoughts on Today’s Runners

Two runners sent out from Sarsen Farm this afternoon. Firstly is Outgate in the 4:10 at York. Liam Jones is in the irons for the seven furlong Class 2 nursery handicap. The pair are drawn wide in stall 10 which is not ideal.

Outgate

Alflaila has strong novice form and steps up in trip today. Aswan had success in a similar event at Glorious Goodwood three weeks ago and could go well again. Harrow won on his last start at Ffos Las earlier this month and could progress further. Maglev is another who steps up in trip today, and could improve further after being narrowly denied on his most recent start.

Outgate is owned and was bred by Gary and Lesley Middlebrook. He is by Outstrip, out of the Invincible Spirit mare, Penny Drops. Outgate will be led up by Michael Coles, and overseen by Travelling manager, Shaun Johnson.

Our second runner of the day is Barossa Red in the 7.05 at Wolverhampton. Dylan Hogan is on board the gelding for the one mile handicap. The pair are drawn wide in stall 10, which is not ideal.

Barossa Red

Roman Mist bids for a hat-trick, and has been running well recently on the turf. Asdaa is a course and distance winner here in July and drops back in trip today.

Barossa Red is owned by Alan Kerr. He is by Tamayuz, out of the Danehill Dancer mare, I Hearyouknocking. He will be led up by James Pulley, and overseen by yard manager Lauren Webb.
