Thoughts on Marmade at Wolverhampton Tomorrow.
Marmande makes her racecourse debut at Wolverhampton tomorrow (January 6th) in the 4.40. Richard Kingscote takes the ride in the seven furlong maiden. Marmande is a good sized filly by Duke of Marmalade out of a Roselyn. Roselyn has produced several decent racehorses including the useful West Leake Diman. We’ve had a couple of horses by Duke of Marmalade now and he is a stallion we like, however they do seem to take a bit of time and aren’t the fastest of learners. Marmande has done a fair bit of work at home but will come on for the run, probably mentally more than anything. She will probably want to go a bit further in due course as well.
Jaegar Train looks to have a good opportunity if he can build on a promising debut and the extra furlong should be in his favour as well. Dove Mountain has some decent form from Ireland and is one to watch for new connections. Marweena is a smartly bred newcomer who could be anything and it will be interesting to see her in the paddock.
