Winner – Bravo Zulu
Bravo Zulu took his career tally to two wins from three starts when landing a novice at Southwell on Sunday evening. It was the second big prize pot for this level of racing he has won. The three year old colt still showed signs of inexperience under Rossa Ryan. A bit free in the early stages he settled nicely once he had a lead. Moving up on the shoulder of the leader around the bend he loomed up ominously but didn’t quite put the race to bed, the runner up emerging from the pack to challenge and hitting the front. However, once Bravo Zulu knuckled down he always had the winner covered and was going away at the line.

The Future
Bravo Zulu should improve for the run and looks sure to benefit from stepping up in trip as well. He is talented colt heading in the right direction. Our analytics collected at home strongly support the impression that a mile and even ten furlongs will see further development. They also point to an improvement in terms of fitness and indicate that we haven’t seen all of his ability.
In the short term we’ll look at races over mile, his target will depend on what the handicapper gives him. He could be the type for races like the London Gold Cup at Newbury, the Haydock Silver Bowl and the three year old handicaps at Royal Ascot in the medium term.

Bravo Zulu runs in the colours of Capture the Moment. This partnership is run by Daniel & Claire offering 25% shares in horses. They buy them as yearlings or at horses in training sales. Bravo Zulu was purchased at Tattersalls Ireland for E28,000. He’s already won that purchase price back. We have a couple of shares available in our in house syndicates on our for sale page. The two year olds were both bought at Tattersalls Ireland! Check them out here.
