Shaun Johnson

Shaun is an experienced work rider who has a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of working in racing. At Sarsen Farm, Shaun is the travelling manager. Part of his role involves overseeing the horses at the races, and he also does a lot of the driving.

A former conditional jockey, Shaun has developed his horsemanship over the last ten years as an assistant trainer to Barry Hills, Karl Burke, and most recently Clive Cox. During his career he has been associated with many top quality equine athletes, such as Dark Angel, Ghanaati, Equiano and Libertarian.

In his spare time, Shaun plays lead guitar in two successful bands and likes to keep fit by running.
