Brief Thoughts on Hilltop Ranger
Hilltop Ranger runs in the 7.45 this evening. Richard Kingscote is back in the saddle on whom he made a promising debut. Things haven’t gone smoothly since but the handicapper has given her a chance here and if she handles the tapeta and gets a bit of luck from a good draw she should run a better race.
Believe It looks like a horse set up for this race. He will probably find better form back at his best distance with a senior jockey replacing an inexperienced apprentice. Its fascinating that the handicapper drops a horses mark even though it has not run over the distance it last won over since that victory. Hardy Black has been consistent of late and sets the standard and Little Indian looks one to watch of recapturing the form displayed earlier in the season.
