Brief Thoughts on today’s runners
Permanent 2.50 Ripon, George Downing
Permanent drops into selling company today, the small field should suit him and if running his best race he has a good chance but his performances are inconsistent.
Av A Word 4.50, Silvestre de Sousa
Has won three races this summer over ten furlongs at Brighton one under Silvestre. Epsom poses a horse a similar challenge which gives confidence and he is a horse that keeps improving at home as well as on the course. It’s the best race he’s contested yet and although It’s a Sauce Pot is an in form rival he should be competitive once again.
