Busy day at the sales and Lisa’s Legacy running at Beverley
Lisa’s Legacy bids to follow up his win at Salisbury at Beverley today (August 25th) in the 5.40. Paul Mulrennan has his first ride for us in the mile and a quarter handicap. Lisa’s Legacy has come out of his last race in great shape and should run very well. In the past he hasn’t been the best of travellers to the races but he seems to have improved in this regard and had a good journey up to Yorkshire yesterday. The biggest concern is that the handicapper shunted him up seven pounds for last win rather harsh give his overall consistent profile and the fact he didn’t beat a great deal that day. He therefore has to carry a lot of weight in this race.
We’ll be at the Doncaster Bloodstock Sales searching through the yearlings for next years stars for most of the day before heading across to saddle him up. If you want us to find you a yearling get in touch as its a great sale for finding reasonably priced stars for the future.
This is not a particularly strong contest, a few of the horses have offered glimmers of promise in the past but been out of form recently and could spring a surprise. Woodstock stepping into handicap company for the first time is a potential improver and Woodstock who recently switched trainer ran a better race than most last time and present the main competition to Lisa’s Legacy.
