Chizz De Biz does the Biz
On Monday afternoon Chizz de Biz broke her maiden in some style on her fifth start. The three year old filly was making her first start of the year. Under an intelligent ride from promising apprentice David Egan she tracked a strong pace and made her move as she met the rising ground and pulled comfortably clear of a well strung out field. The daughter of Zebedee won in the colours of Booth and Southworth, with Kevin, Ian and Cathy on hand to cheer their charge home and enjoy a sun filled afternoon overlooking the sea. Neal was soon on the phone from Turkey and sharing in the enjoyment of the result.
The filly was purchased as a breeze up horse from Tattersalls Ireland at Ascot with old friend Ed Sackville of Sackville Donald from CAJ stables having originally been bred by Gill Proctor. Chizz de Biz is the first foal out of Chizzler a daughter of Baltic King. The filly won in the style of one who might be able to pick up a race or two more as the season progresses. On Monday she was taking on older horses and has plenty of options going forward as there are plenty of filly only races and three year old handicaps available to her. Her home work which has always been promising stepped up a notch following her winter break and it was good to see that translate to the racecourse.
Certainly she’s a filly we will have some fun with in the coming weeks.
