Cobbs Quay at Bath
Cobbs Quay is declared for the 7.10 at Bath tonight (June 27th), with Silvestre De Sousa taking the ride. He drops back to a mile for the first time since his two year old days and it is very much an unknown whether this trip suits as his pedigree and homework give mixed messages. In what looks a difficult contest has a decent draw in stall two. The ground would ideally be a bit softer than it is, he handles good fine but wouldn’t want it any quicker. Of the opposition the rejuvenated Woolston Ferry looks a likely winner as he is two from two for his new trainer. Bold Cross has been in good form of late and the drop back to a mile should not inconvenience him at all. Cheers has been running well over shorter distances recently and his only attempt at this distance suggests he could be a danger.
