Cobbs Quay declared, Spin Again entered

Cobbs Quay has been declared for the 8.30 at Nottingham on Friday night, Mickael Barzalona is booked to ride.  The course, trip and conditions should suit him well. We would expect him to come on for this first run in 244 days but are pleased with how he has been coming together at home. He has been handed a very wide draw in stall 15 of 16 which makes things a bit trickier than ideal and runs against a solid field for the level, Tilsworth Glenboy looks the most likely winner, with the going and distance looking suitable for this improving type. Lady of Burgundy is lightly raced and the way she is bred suggests that she too should enjoy conditions and her trainer’s horses are in excellent form.

Spin Again has been entered over six furlongs at Kempton after we decided against running him at Southwell in favour of trying him over this shorter trip for the first time since we have trained him. He has certainly shown plenty of speed in his work at home and just seemed to struggle over the extended seven furlongs at Wolverhampton after travelling very well into the race so it will be interesting to see how he gets on.
