Horses in Training Sale Notes

We send three nice horse up to Newmarket for the Horses in Training Sale. They will be on show from first thing Wedensday morning and sell on Thursday. All three are winners, Silhouette and Zippy both won their last starts and Karnage has been seen staying on to great effect over an inadequate trip on his last two starts and looks ready to win again soon.

Zippy is lot 1495. She is Timeform rated 69.

A big strong well made filly who is just coming into her own she has run just six times, placing three times in maiden company before winning on her most recent start at Yarmouth over 6 furlongs. Timeform commented

She looks the type to continue to progress with racing and has a broodmare potential being out of a half sister to the Group One winner Imperial Dancer. Many thanks to Lycetts and Sirecam for producing the video.

Silhouette is a consistent gelding who has learned to race as his three year old career has progressed. He won his most recent start at Wolverhampton from the heavily favoured Best Laid Plans and recorded a Timeform Rating of 78. He has shown form from a mile to ten furlongs on a variety of going and surfaces.

A good looking horse who stands 15.3 he has potential to progress on the flat or as a juvenile hurdler. He is still fresh and well and would be in a position to continue racing immediately. He will sell as lot 1398.

Karnage is a winner over a mile and a half and has shown form over a range of distance from a mile and a quarter to a mile and half. He is Timeform rated 76. A very good looking imposing individual he has the potential to make into a good hurdler and potentially has the scope to jump a fence in due course.

He has recently been staying on effectively at the end of two one mile contests as there was not a suitable mile and a quarter race before he headed to the sales. He is fresh and well following a break during the late summer. He is lot 1397.
