Lisa’s Legacy

Lisa’s Legacy joined us after showing promise at 2 with his previous trainer but not fulfilling it. His locally based owners thought a smaller yard where they were able to be more involved might help him to win a race. He has been gelded to help him concentrate on his job as a racehorse. He is by Kyllachy out of Lisathedaddy who won four races and was placed a further ten times.

Lisa’s Legacy may not have been a superstar but he showed incredible consistency and determination. He improved 15lbs in the handicap and during a busy summer ran nine times, only once missing the frame. He won two races including an emotional victory at his owners local track Salisbury, he also won in scintillating style by five lengths at Kempton one evening. Having probably reached the ceiling of his ability on the flat he was sold on to hurdling, making room for his baby brother Who’sthedaddy

His unusual name is in memory of his owner’s daughter, they also run a wonderful scholarship program in her memory more details of which can be found here.
