We have had a busy few days at the Doncaster Yearling Sales and are delighted to have brought home two lovely fillies. The first is a tough filly by Approve who has had his first runners this year and in what has been quite a year for new young stallions has made his mark with plenty of winners including our Dream Approval and has a already also had a stakes winner.
This filly looks like a racehorse, a very athletic walk and good frame to work with. She hails from a good family and is a half sister multiple stakes placed horse, her mother has bred 5 winners from 6 runners and plenty of two year old winners too. This is a real quality Aga Khan family, the dam of this filly is a half sister to two Group winners and the dam of a Group one winner. This filly has the pedigree and type to be a successful racehorse and in the longer term offers real broodmare potential. She cost £12,000 and we are looking for an owner.
The second filly we bought looks a real early runner, she is a January foal and should see the racecourse early on next season. She has a lot of strength to her and her sire was the champion two year old in both England and France. Her mother is a half sister to the outstanding multiple Group One winner Xtension who was also a top class two year old. She is by the successful broodmare sire Cadeaux Genereux. She cost £13,000 and will race for the Diskovery Partnership Three which will be launched next week. She was bred by Ballyphilip Stud who have been very successful breeders with a real reputation of producing top class horses, including Xtension himself and pertinently this seasons leading two year old filly Tiggy Wiggy.
