New Horse Incoming

Sometimes we’ll be at a sale and come across a horse that we would absolutely love to train, even though we might not have a client looking at that moment in time. Yesterday was one such day. It was a beautiful day to visit to the Tattersalls Ireland Gorsebridge Breeze Up Sale – in Newmarket! One of many new normals, although these days its no longer in Gorsebridge but Fairyhouse when its held in Ireland. This has seen the quality of horse at the sale increase in recent years.

It turned out to be a great sale for many vendors, including a fairytale result for a young pinhooking team who paid 6,000 for a son of Dark Angel six months ago and achieved the top lot price of £410,000.

There was a filly that really stood out to us and the horse that we fell in love with was beautiful filly by Prince of Lir who has a quality pedigree and did a quick breeze and looks great value at £17,500.

Prince of Lir ex. Tartufo Dolce

We’d liked the look of this filly on the pre-sales video and her breeze was very good. Galloping nice and evenly all the way through the splits and the gallop out to end with a time comfortably within the top 20% of the 200 horses that breezed on the day. However once we’d seen her in the flesh we really fell in love with her, a beautiful out look, light, elegant and athletic. She should be a lot of fun and be winning on the track in short order.

A quality pedigree, this filly is bred to be very quick.
