Plans Frustrated by the Weather, Work updates

With the various abandonments that have occurred and the prevailing heavy ground it looks like our next runner won’t be until the end of next week. Spin Again holds an entry for Salisbury on Sunday in a very winnable ladies race but it doesn’t seem likely that he will get his ground, so we’ll have to have a rethink and come up with a new plan. He is a really tough little horse who has taken his racing extremely well and having being quite burly when he arrived is finally looking trim and well muscled.

With no suitable races until the end of next week, Cobbs Quay stretched his legs nicely over seven furlongs yesterday. This morning Great Charm did a lovely steady piece of work up the mile gallop with fairly testing underfoot conditions. A big horse who has taken a bit of time to come to hand, Great Charm is looking really well and is beginning to come together; a few sharper pieces and hopefully there will still be enough cut in the ground and we can find him a race. Autocracy did a sharp breeze on the stiff bank gallop this morning, he travelled well and had a good blow afterwards so will probably still need a couple more pieces to come spot on. He is still hanging onto his coat a bit another indication he isn’t a 100% just yet.
