Royal Ascot Runners
It’s a big day for the whole team today as we send out two runners at Royal Ascot. Percy’s Lad runs in the Royal Hunt Cup at 5.00. Don’t Tell Claire who will line up in the Kensington Palace Stakes at 6.10.
Percy’s Lad lines up under Richard Kingscote who is two from two aboard the four year old gelding. The four year old gelding was picked up at the Tattersalls Horses in Training Sale. He cost 30,000 Guineas last October. He won his first two starts for the yard. In his most recent start he finished second over seven furlongs at Beverley behind a progressive three year old. Traditionally, being drawn high is a plus in these big field handicaps. The going stick readings suggest that the low numbers may be the place to be today.

Percy’s Lad will be led up yard manager Lauren Webb. He runs in the colours of Alan Kerr.
Don’t Tell Claire has been aimed at this race all season. She won at Ascot last season before running well in a couple of listed contests. She has been training very well at home and we could not be happier with her coming into this race. The wide draw is never easy on the round course so she will need a little bit of luck on that front.

Don’t Tell Claire runs for owner Andrew Stonehill and will be led up by Ilse Belien. Jan Kasecky cares for her daily at home. She was purchased as a yearling by Claire & Daniel for £15,000.
