Some thoughts on Outrage
If you were expecting a discourse on political events when stumbling on this alas all we do is try to make horses run as fast as possible. Seems somewhat trivial at times but it creates plenty of jobs and fun. We hope to have a bit of fun this afternoon at Kempton in the 4:55. The extremely talented champion apprentice Josephine Gordon takes the ride in the five furlong sprint handicap. Outrage has already won twice this year and it should have been three times when he was extremely unlucky at Chelmsford after some questionable manoeuvring by the eventual winner. He is in rude health at home and is well drawn in stall 2 around the tight track at Kempton. He does love a rattling surface, and whether the slightly slower polytrack surface at Kempton will suit we will know around 4:47 this evening. Not that it is usually a problem but it is Outrages first race around a right handed bend and him not being the sharpest tool in the box it could cause a problem.
Despite representing a step up in grade for Outrage this is tempered somewhat by it not being the strongest class three handicap around. El Viento looks a big danger as he has run in some decent races and may find this a bit easier. Brother Tiger is a force on the all weather but hopefully the wide draw is enough to diminish the threat he poses.
