Thoughts on Al Rufaa
After a quiet start to the week we have one runner at Kempton this evening. Al Rufaa will line up in the 6.15pm contest, Rob Hornby takes the ride.
Al Rufaa makes his debut for the yard today. He’s a horse that had shown a lot of ability in the past, it would be fair to say he lost his way to a certain extent. We have been learning about him at home and will learn more again from giving him a run. He had a break and some turnout when he first arrived with us so is just really ready to begin. Watching his previous races it seems he probably ran best whilst wearing a Hood so we have put that on him today.
Caragio just about sets the standard based on his recent course and distance win. Wild slide finished lame when last seen but had a good progressive profile before and could prove the best of these if ready to go. Mitrosonfire has very solid form and can be excused his most recent effort from a poor draw.
Al Rufaa runs for owners Cater, Lofthouse and Capture The Moment. He will be led up by Shannon Pasotti.
