Thoughts on Arishka

Today (25th January), Arishka runs in the 4.45 at Newcastle. Robert Winston rides the filly in the 6 furlong handicap. Arishka showed a bit of form last season particularly when third at Catterick behind a future stakes horse. She however had a couple of rough experiences at the races too and needs to find her confidence again on her seasonal reappearance.

This race looks open, the consistent Quicksilver and 50/1 last time out winner Deconso set the standard, with the most likely improvers now switching to handicap company after showing progression are Amliba and Firsteen.

Arishka was driven to the races by Shaun Johnson our travelling manager and will be led up by groom James Pulley. Together they will be responsible for her care at the track.
