Thoughts on Arishka at Wolverhampton

Arishka runs in the 2.10 at Wolverhampton. George Downing is back in the saddle for the first time since her debut in the five furlong nursery. After going nicely in her first two runs things have gone a bit awry for the filly since. An experiment with six furlongs was a bit of a disaster before getting seriously hampered cost her all chance last time out at this track. On a recovery mission today the filly has an ok draw in seven and with some of what look to be her main rivals posted even wider things could have been worse.

Wolstonbury probably sets the standard on his recent third at Lingfield, with Micronize and Macho Lady who weren’t far apart at Ayr recently looking to be the most likely dangers. There are several nursery debutantes but its probably fair to say that most would have to take a pretty decent step forward to get involved.
