Thoughts on Atlantic Heart

The consistent Atlantic Heart bids for her second win this evening in the 8.00 at Kempton. Jockey Luke Morris maintains his partnership with the filly in the seven furlong handicap.

Atlantic Heart got a deserved first win last time out at Wolverhampton getting up late under a strong ride from Luke. The blinkers have helped her apply herself better and if she continues in the same vein she should remain competitive.

Atlantic Heart takes on older rivals here and this is probably a stronger race than the one she won. A case could be made for a few of her rivals, Tell’em Nowt isn’t always consistent and ran yesterday having won last week. A repeat of that win could well be enough. Shin Saw Ghyi steps up in trip on handicap debut but probably needs to improve for the extra distance. Ring of Light is lightly raced but has shown enough to think he can win a race of this nature. Fangorn hasn’t been at his best of late but may appreciate the drop to this class.

Atlantic Heart runs in the colours of Patrick O’Connor. She will be led up by Sammy Barnett this evening.
