Thoughts on Bailiwick this evening

Bailiwick runs in the 7.10 this evening at Kempton Park (Tuesday, October 6th). Tim Queally takes the ride in he mile handicap. Bailiwick returns from a long break, following a couple of minor niggles. He won his second start, that was over six furlongs he now steps up to a mile which should suit as he needed every yard of the six to win when last seen. He is quite a laid back character and very inexperienced compared to his rivals so one hopes that he is clued up enough after absence to put up a good show.

The race looks a competitive handicap typical for the track at this sort of grade, luck of the draw and running all plays a part. Swordbearer has been running well of late but is yet to win a race, Alketios won last time but this is a higher grade. Amongst the outsiders Hectors Chance has looked capable of winning this type of contest but a few poor recent efforts need to be forgiven.
