Thoughts on Bowland Park

Bowland Park lines up tomorrow (Monday 4th of April) in the 3.15 at Redcar in the mile Handicap under Jason Hart. Bowland Park has three wins to his name, his best performance when winning under very testing conditions over a mile at Haydock. He has always travelled enthusiastically in his races, at times a little too much, but does seem to have relaxed better in his homework this season.

This is a big field and competitive as a result. Broken Spear’s fifth in the Lincoln reads well in the context of this race and a repeat of that would probably suffice to win this. Delgrey Boy has great course form and is the record holder of this distance, whether this ground will see him at his best is debatable. Il Bandito is open to improvement as a four year old and is interesting for new connections. Orbaan has spent most of the past two seasons running at class 2 level and drops down here into this company and is another who warrants respect.

Bowland Park runs in the colours of owner and breeders Mr and Mrs G Middlebrook and will be led up by James Pulley and overseen by Tamsin Karn.
