Thoughts on Bowland Park
Bowland Park runs at Newcastle today in the 6.29pm. Cieren Fallon will be in the saddle for the mile and a quarter.
Bowland Park drops down to the level his was last season winning at. He has run well in some higher class races this season, albeit last time he was a little disappointing. His wins at three came over an extended mile and although he had excuses when trying further, he does need to show he can stay this far. He is a more mature horse, both mentally and physically and his owner breeder Gary Middlebrook was keen to experiment again.

Simply Sondheim was progressive when putting together a four timer early on in the summer and has had a freshen up since. He will need to continue that progression against these better horses. Shimmering Sands won yesterday but that was a lower grade and it would be quite a big step up a day later to go in again. Arch Moon seems to save his best for Haydock, this is his all weather debut. Chimed has shown ability in novice races but hasn’t been the strongest of finishers, the tongue tie he wears suggesting he perhaps struggles with his wind.
Bowland Park runs for owner breeders Gary & Lesley Middlebrook and will be led up by Shannon Pasotti who cares for him daily at home.
