Thoughts on Castelo

Castelo runs in the 6.05pm at Wolverhampton this evening. The filly is partnered by Jason Hart, having his first ride for the yard in the 8.5f handicap. The filly has yet to deliver on the potential she has shown us at home so we have reached for the cheekpieces. We have also decided to step her up in trip based on a DNA analysis carried out by Equinome. She has to over come a wide draw in stall 9.

The race was put on as part of an extra fixture and has attracted a mixed field. I Think So ran well over course and distance last time whne seoncd and a repeat of that may well be enough here. Seaforth a last time out winner but extremely inconsistent is a danger, whilst handicap debutant Maqboolah would not have to improve much for the extra distance she tackles today to be competitive.

Castelo was bred by Lynn Lodge Stud and is by Casamento, out of Fortress. She runs for the Diskovery Partnership, a syndicate managed personally by Daniel and Claire giving you a direct relationship with your trainers. The filly will be led up by James Pulley.
